DIVORCED AFTER 2 MONTHS, LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH

Dear Lovers,

It was a hot and humid day in Lagos, Nigeria, and Chinyere couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement as she prepared for her upcoming wedding. She had met her fiancé, Tunde, a few years ago and they had quickly fallen in love. They were perfect for each other, or so she thought.

As she was getting ready for the wedding, Chinyere's mind kept wandering to her ex-boyfriend, Wale. They had dated for years when they were younger, but they had agreed to go their separate ways after realizing they wanted different things in life. Chinyere had moved on, or so she thought, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was still in love with Wale.

Unbeknownst to Chinyere, Wale was going through a similar situation. He had just gotten engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Bisi, but he couldn't help but feel that something was missing in his life. He had never forgotten about Chinyere, and he couldn't shake off the feeling that they were meant to be together.

As fate would have it, Chinyere and Wale crossed paths a few weeks before their respective weddings. The moment they saw each other, they both knew that they were still in love with each other. They spent the next few days catching up on old times, and they both realized that they had made a mistake by letting each other go.

Against all odds, Chinyere and Wale decided to call off their weddings and be together. Their decision was met with disapproval from their families and friends, but they didn't care. They knew that they were meant to be together, and nothing could stop them.

The first few weeks of their relationship was pure bliss. Chinyere and Wale were inseparable, and they were happy. However, things started to take a turn for the worse when they started to argue about small things. Their disagreements turned into fights, and before they knew it, they were on the verge of a divorce.

Chinyere couldn't believe that the man she had loved for years was the same man who was now making her miserable. She didn't know what had gone wrong, but she knew that she couldn't continue living like this. She knew she had to end things, no matter how much it would hurt.

Wale, on the other hand, couldn't believe that the woman he had loved for years was the same woman who was now walking out of his life. He tried to make things work, but it was too late. Chinyere had made up her mind, and there was nothing he could do to change it.

Her conviction became stronger when she meet Collins, a charming Accountant who just got transferred to Lagos. They got connected on a deeper level and realized that they were meant to be together and she decided that she won’t mortgage her happiness for anything. Wale also realized that Chinyere is very happy with her newfound friend and freely communicated with him, what he wished he had with her. So he decided to let her go.

Two months after their wedding, Chinyere and Wale divorced. Their love story had started with so much promise, but it had ended in heartbreak. Chinyere couldn't help but wonder if she had made the right decision by leaving Wale for Collins, while Wale couldn't help but wonder if things would have been different if they had stayed apart.

In the end, Chinyere and Wale realized that their love story was just not meant to be. They had tried their best, but it wasn't enough. They both moved on with their lives, but they knew that they would always have a special place in each other's hearts.

Few Points to Note:

  1. The fact that someone loves you so much doesn’t mean that you two are meant to be together.

  2. Two good people won’t necessarily make a good couple. Find your soul mate.

  3. Love alone is never enough.

  4. Some important things to watch out for are; peace in your heart, the easy flow of communication, and an uncompromised connection.

  5. A relationship might be full of ups and downs, but that doesn't mean it is not meant to be, it might be that there is a communication gap, unmet or uncommunicated expectations, or Ego playing its role. But if it is about being completely emotionally detached or the other party making you walk on eggshells, please go and look for your love.

  6. If the person is for you, you won’t force or beg them to stay.

  7. Good friendship might be ruined by introducing a relationship, it is important to be sensitive. Also, some friendships would be better as Lovers.

Genuine Love still exists; don’t settle until you find it.

I love you.
